Lots of big things happening around here! It is still hard for me to believe that we are having a baby!! I have been praying about the direction of Heart Work Tees for awhile now, and God has faithfully given me some answers. He is so good like that, right? I have known for awhile that I cannot continue operating like I am out of my house. I have been looking at other options, and I'm excited to share one with you. I recently met Michelle, owner of Gentle Truth Apparel. We co
Monte Albán is an incredible historic site of Zapoteco ruins near Oaxaca City.
It also happens to be where the end of Nacho Libre was filmed, which is Ty’s favorite movie.
We took the trip to visit Monte Albán one Saturday while we were in Oaxaca, and we made some fun memories re-enacting the final scenes from Nacho Libre.
I hope y’all enjoy this silly video!

The past 12 weeks I have seen God making beauty from ashes.
Today I read Psalm 147:3 and it struck me so profoundly.
“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”
I broke this apart and dug in deeper with Blue Letter Bible. Using the in-depth definitions, I rephrased it into this:
"He stitches up my broken pieces into wholeness and tightly wraps up my wounds.”
That’s what God has been doing for me through the autoimmune reversal program. I’ve been releasin
"I was sexually abused as a young girl. I was told I most likely wouldn't be able to have children. I was told that a woman called to ministry didn't have many options. Destruction. Disappointment. Defeat. I've felt them all.
BUT...God. He restores. He gives hope. He is victorious. According to Ephesians 3:20, God is "able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us." And, I've experienced this promise time and time a
"Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be the glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen." -Ephesians 3:20-21
"I love seeing and experiencing God in the details. I pray for it daily – not only for myself but for those who I hold near and dear to my heart. However, cancer wasn’t the detail I was hoping for. Neither of us were hoping for.

"As a fairly young bride and new mom, my husband suffered a massive heart attack. I found myself standing all alone, in a hospital with only a 2 year old on my hip and my faith. All I could do was pray that God not make me a widow at 25 years old. He quickly sent family and friends to surround me and pray for the long life my husband needed to have. With doctors telling us he should've been dead on arrival, we could only say, "But God!" Now almost 15 years later, my husband s
It’s such a joy to share Erica’s “Exceedingly Abundantly” story with y’all. I’ve seen her living this out in the past few months as she and her family cling to God’s word through unexpected suffering in the form of major flood damage from Hurricane Harvey. "Like most mommas, mine had a few catch phrases that she would often repeat. Her two favorites, as they seemed to apply almost daily, were, “Hurting people hurt people” & “You can’t out-give God.” She would comfort us with
Kelsay is a light to all who know her. She gifted us with taking care of Mack while I was pregnant and then struggling with my health issues after our miscarriage. Now she is a dear friend. I know you will be encouraged by her story of surrender to God during a difficult time with her husband.
This verse is when John the Baptist gave credit and authority to Jesus as the Son of God. Share about a time in your life when you learned that Jesus must increase and you must decrea
Lisa Michelle is the founder and executive director of No Strings Attached Ministries. They are doing amazing things showing God's love to women in the sex industry and supporting women that have broken free. I am so in awe of the incredible ways God is working through her ministry, and I know you'll be inspired by her interview too. How did you start No Strings Attached?
Being in an outreach that went into the adult entertainment clubs was never on my radar. It took a healt
I had loads of big plans and ideas for myself after college graduation. All that changed when I saw that positive pregnancy test. I remember laying face flat on my apartment floor just weeping. I never felt more alone and ashamed of the choices that I made that got me to that point. But, I clearly heard God's voice in that dark moment..."I'm still here and I have never left you."
Fast forward 10 years later, God has redeemed and restored my past. He has blessed me with more
Ty and I recently spent the weekend with Seed Company. As always, we walked away inspired, challenged, and so grateful to get to be a part of what God is doing around the world to get His word to the nations.
There are still 1671 languages that do not have one single verse of Scripture in their heart languages. That’s alot! Seed Company has some amazing strategies to help begin translation projects in each of these languages by 2025 - eight years from now. Isn’t that exciti
My dear friend Suzanne, compassionate Jesus follower, business savvy leader, and mom to a herd of kids is sharing her "Even If" story. I know you'll be impacted and encouraged by her declaration to praise God through her grief.
My sister, brother, and I had one of those moments in time 2 months ago that became burned in our memories forever when we received a call one evening that our father was in the hospital where it was discovered had a brain tumor. I was sitting outsid
Even if our worst case scenario is a reality we can still praise God, because He is still good.
Habakkuk laid it all before God.
We can do that too. He can take it.
I’d like to share a few of my “Even Ifs” that God has been hearing about lately :-)
Even if our son doesn't fully heal from carbon monoxide poisoning,
Even if he continues to have headaches every day.
Even if he is angry and traumatized and it BREAKS my heart.
Even if every day I feel like I should be d
"He must increase, but I must decrease." -John 3:30 As I studied John this year, this verse seemed to jump off the page to me. John the Baptist had an opportunity to take some credit for himself. His friends came to him and told him that this man that John baptized was now baptizing others and that many were coming to the other man (gasp)! Good news: it was Jesus, and this was exactly how it should be! Of course John does such a good job explaining this. "He who comes from ab
"But those who wait upon God get fresh strength. They spread their wings and soar like eagles." Isaiah 40:31 (MSG)
In January 2015 I attended at conference with Meredith Andrews leading worship. She shared about her upcoming song, "Soar." Meredith said that she wrote it while in a season of waiting for God to do what she believed He had promised her.
Her song really encouraged me, since it had been a little over two months after my miscarriage. I felt like I was in a seas
Last weekend I had the privilege of hearing speaker after speaker share about the work God is doing through Bible translation around the world. I was wrecked, and felt heartbroken for the 1778 people groups (about 180 million people) that do not have 1 single verse of Scripture in their heart language. Our goal is to get that number down to 0, so that every single people group will have God’s Word in their heart language. I was honored and humbled to share a prayer for these
A few months ago my screen printer approached me about doing a special fundraising project with a new design. Of course I was really excited, and I began thinking about verses to use for the design. We have been listening to Bethel Music a lot lately, and I am really loving their song, "No Longer Slaves." Here's my favorite line: "Im no longer a slave to fear, for I am a child of God." I started roughly sketching ideas with the verse, "Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there i

These are all the emotions that I'm feeling after our intense interview last week with The Seed Company. Let me explain.
They are writing an article for their publication, Co: Mission and making a video about our family.
Ty and I were each interviewed individually and then we were all interviewed as a family. This is not a skittles and rainbows type of video. From what I gather,
Anchor Leg That’s where we are, friends. We are in the last leg of Bible translation, which means that our generation has the incredible opportunity of seeing God’s Word translated for every nation, every tribe, every language. Let me back up a little and explain. Ty and I recently spent a weekend in the beautiful mountains in Utah, absorbing so much information at the forWORD Seed Company Event. For me, it’s hard not to feel close to God when you are surrounded by His breath
I’m just getting back from a week of renewal. A week of resting, and being filled. We were so blessed to be able to spend some time in a beautiful place, right on the Florida River in Colorado. I would wake up to the brisk air coming in our open windows, and snuggle deeper under the covers as long as possible. Yes, Colorado nights are cold in August! I took my coffee outside and sat on our porch. The roar of the river was loud, but very soothing. I took out my Bible and journ
